Instructions for creating a Pet Memorial from Online Pet Memorial
A Pet Memorial from Online Pet Memorial is created as a full-screen memorial experience for your companion. As Custodian, you decide how the memorial begins, how memories are shared, and how the experience flows.

* The Registry uses the international date format: Day / Month / Year (DMY, ISO 8601).
Build your memorial
LifeSlides
LifeSlides form the core of the Memorial experience.
Inside Create Memorial, LifeSlides appear as thumbnails so you can preview, reorder, and edit the Memorial experience.
A LifeSlide is either a Photo LifeSlide or a Story LifeSlide. Never both.
Add to Life
Use these actions inside the Life section to build the Memorial experience.
Autoplay and duration
LifeSlides play automatically.
- You choose how long each LifeSlide appears
- Duration can be set between 1 and 30 seconds
- LifeSlides play in the order you arrange
Adding a Photo LifeSlide
- Go to the Life section
- Select Add Photo
- Upload an image
- Set the duration (1–30 seconds)
- Save
Supported formats: JPG, JPEG, PNG, WEBP.
A Photo LifeSlide can be marked as the Primary Photo.
Vertical or near-vertical photos usually display best across phones, tablets, and larger screens.
Adding a Story LifeSlide
- Go to the Life section
- Select Add Story
- Enter your text
- Set the duration (1–30 seconds)
- Save
Shorter story text is usually easier to read. LifeSlides are designed to be read without scrolling, especially on mobile devices.
Story text can be edited, revised, and refined at any time.
Ending LifeSlide (Ending template)
The Pet Memorial experience ends with the Ending template.
- Primary Photo
- Pet name
- Birth / adopted date and passed date
- Ending template message — default is "In Loving Memory". You may choose any message and edit it at any time.
Select a colour theme
Every Memorial includes a colour theme that defines the background colour used throughout the Memorial experience.
As Custodian, you choose the colour theme during creation and may change it at any time.
- The selected colour theme applies to all LifeSlides
- It creates a consistent visual tone
- The Ending template uses the same colour theme for continuity
Select music
You may choose background music for the Memorial.
- Music plays throughout the Memorial experience
- Music fades automatically during the Ending template
The selected music track loops softly while the Memorial continues. Ideally, choose a track whose duration naturally fits the Memorial experience.
Music options can be previewed before selection.
Select a Gateway
Every Pet Memorial begins with a Gateway. As Custodian, you choose which Gateway is used.
- Select a cinematic Gateway
- Or upload your own Gateway image
A preview is available before selection.
Before completing your Memorial
Remember to accept the Terms & Conditions before completing your Memorial.
Important
After creating your Memorial, you must safely store your edit link and moderation link. These links are your access to manage the Memorial.
